The Wendell Wallace Autosports team competed in round four of the 'Alltel DIRTcar Nationals' tonight at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. Unfortunately it was not a great Valentine's Day for Wendell Wallace, as he failed to make the starting field for the $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series season opening feature event. Wendell timed in twenty-sixth fastest in WOOLMS qualifying, finished seventh in his heat race, and ran fifth in his B-Main. The #88 team headed east following the 'Winternationals' finale at East Bay and competed in night one of the 'Alltel DIRTcar Nationals' tonight at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. Wendell timed in second fastest in his group during UMP DIRTcar Series qualifying and later finished second in his heat race. After starting eleventh on the grid for the $7,000 to win feature event, the "Batesville Bullet" suffered from a hard tire choice in the A-Main and wound up twenty-fourth in the final rundown. The newly-formed GRT House Car team entered the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned 'Winternationals' finale tonight at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida and the cameras of the SPEED Channel were on hand to tape all of the dirt-slinging action for broadcast later in the year. Wendell Wallace unfortunately failed to make the starting field for the $12,000 to win feature event after timing in eighth fastest in his group during qualifying and finishing sixth and fourth in his heat race and B-Main respectively. Wendell Wallace and his #88 team unfortunately failed to make the starting field for the $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event tonight at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida. He timed in eleventh fastest in his group during qualifying and later finished thirteenth in his heat race after making only a couple of laps. Wendell only made a few more laps in his B-Main and he will now set his sights on the 'Winternationals' finale on Saturday, February 9. Wendell Wallace competed in his first event of the 2008 racing season tonight at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida! Piloting the GRT House Car again for the first time in several years, Wendell vied for the $10,000 top prize in a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned event. The driver known as the "Batesville Bullet" timed in ninth quickest in his group during qualifying before advancing to the sixth spot in his competitive heat race. Unfortunately for the #88 team, Wendell's third place run in his B-Main was not quite good enough to advance into the 40-lap feature event.
