Wendell Wallace and his #88 team concluded their version of the 2011 racing season on October 28-29 at the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. The 8th Annual 'Cotton Pickin 100' was held at "The Mag" over the weekend and a $15,000 top prize awaited the winner. In preliminary action on Friday night, Wendell qualified fifteenth quickest in his group during time trials and later finished fourth in his heat race. Following a strong win in his B-Main on Saturday evening, Wendell rolled off twentieth on the grid in the 100-lapper. Armed with a soft tire combination, the Batesville, Arkansas native moved forward early in the 'Cotton Pickin 100' before his soft tires finally gave up. Wendell wound up retiring from the race and finished in the nineteenth position. Full results from Magnolia can be viewed online at www.magnoliadirt.com.
