Wendell Wallace Wraps Up 2011 Campaign Last Weekend with Cotton Pickin 100

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Wendell Wallace and his #88 team concluded their version of the 2011 racing season on October 28-29 at the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. The 8th Annual 'Cotton Pickin 100' was held at "The Mag" over the weekend and a $15,000 top prize awaited the winner.

In preliminary action on Friday night, Wendell qualified fifteenth quickest in his group during time trials and later finished fourth in his heat race. Following a strong win in his B-Main on Saturday evening, Wendell rolled off twentieth on the grid in the 100-lapper. Armed with a soft tire combination, the Batesville, Arkansas native moved forward early in the 'Cotton Pickin 100' before his soft tires finally gave up. With the 2011 season now in the books for the Wendell Wallace Autosports team, they can now reflect on a solid year. Wendell entered forty-six Dirt Late Model events during his '11 campaign and reached victory lane on eight different occasions. The driver known as the "Batesville Bullet" also amassed fifteen Top Fives and twenty-two Top Tens during the season. Below is a list of accomplishments:

* $2,000 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series Winner at the Riverside (AR) Int'l Speedway
* Finished Fourth in $5,000 Lucas Oil Series Show at the East Bay (FL) Raceway Park
* Finished Sixth in $10,000 Pelican 100 at the Ark-La-Tex (LA) Speedway
* Finished Tenth in $40,000 Topless 100 at the Batesville (AR) Motor Speedway
* Finished Tenth in $10,000 MARS DIRTcar Series Show at the Great American (KS) Dirt Track
